The Sandy Sequester

When the banks needed a bailout, our taxes were raised. When the auto industry needed a bailout, our taxes were raised – we had no problem. Now we need a bailout, we're the people of the United States of America and we need a bailout," -Chati, Sandy Survivor
Dear Sandy Volunteers,
You and I know that the crisis is far from over. And if (when?) the sequester takes effect, Sandy aid will be cut by around $3 billion.* That's aid to people in need that won't get to them because of politicians in Washington who'll be on vacation.
It's easy to get discouraged, but we need you more than ever to help us support the 99% through Sandy.
Together, we'll be the bailout that the people really need whether Washington steps up or not.
